bodyline review 1 (blouses, JSKs, accessories and bolero)

Part 2!
Part two of the review! This time it will be covering:
- l089 in sax
- l031 in brown
- l237 in pik
- l234 in pik
- l277 in sax
- leg375
- leg339
- acc823
- acc860
- acc1110

Sorry for yellow lighting '*-*
Starting with l237 in pik from bodyline! A super cute bolero with an adorable ribbon main piece!
It's pink color is a big brighter than it looks in the original picture, and more pastel than it seems in the original stock photo.
The bolero is thick, but not unbearably so. Certainly not summer material!
The fit is fine, and the flaps of the bolero are connected through the button holes which are then connected by the large center piece- the satin bow.

without the bow
The color is more true on the photo with the bow.
The fabric is slightly shiny but it's actually not too shiny in reality. The lace on the collar and sleeves aren't uncomfortable at all. The ruffles on the collar are also very nice ^-^
upper sleeve details
lower sleeve details
The bow on the sides are so cute! It's hard to see in the original stock photo, but the sleeves are really adorable! The lace isn't scratchy at all either! The little ruffle on the edge of the sleeve is especially cute.

The fabric is a little stretchy but not very. It's a very cute bolero, definitely worth the price of $20!  The lace is nice, and the large center piece bow is adorable! The sleeves are cute too, the upper and lower bow are both excellent! I've taken a star off for the shininess of the bows, since I know that some people dislike that.
Since the satin middle bow is detachable, it can fit a variety of sizes. Personally, I think it looks best when the bow is attached and tied in the way it looks in the original stock photo.

Ta-da! Cute hair accessories!
I don't really have much to say about the accessories. They are all cute and fit nicely. The two ice cream elastics were only 50 cents each, and the bunny is a two way clip/brooch *0* How adorable!
Backs
As you can see, the pink bow is attached by a barrette clip. Although I don't mind that much, I understand that some people prefer an alligator clip. The bunny clip and bow are pretty big, about as big as a fist. They can easily become center piece hair accessories!
Finally tights!
I won't add too much information for these two items but they look nice. I've ordered tights from taobao before and they've come in similar packaging. The tights are well-packaged and look nice.
I haven't put them on just yet, but I've stretched out the cherry ones a little and it looks nice!
Basically for all accessories and tights:

Yay full score! I'll probably make an addition to this review in about a few months to clarify on the quality.

l234!
l234 in pik! It's a soft peachy pink, and really adorable! It might just be me, but the arm fabric is very loose. The blouse fits fine, as I fit within the measurements and for ten dollars it is fine too, but the loose fabric in the sleeves isn't very flattering. Of course, that might just be my weird arms...
Shot with the lace bow
Back shot- check out that corset!

The lace bow is actually detachable and super long! The lace is soft and nice, but it doesn't look very good at first sight. The bow also has a white satin ribbon tied in. As cute as the ribbon is, it's length is a bit extreme!

Bodice and Lace detail
The bodice has the nice rose lace that we see today on all of bodyline's products. The gathering on the bodice is also extremely well done. The buttons are round, and look like marble encased with gold. It's cute and since it's not a strange button shape, it moves smoothly through the button hole unlike most of bodyline's products. (Oh bodyline, why do you fail in buttons???)
Surprisingly, the buttons are well attached as well! They are flat and round, and I think they are strong.
The lace on the collar is the same lace used in the detachable bow. The lace is, once again, soft and nice, which is important for a high collar!

Sleeve detail
The lace on the sleeve is the same as the lace on the collar. The button on the sleeve is an actual button, not a decorative. I think that it fits nicely and I like how the loose fabric comes together, but for more plus sized girls that tight end might not be the best decision.

One point taken off for the appearance of cheap lace on the collar, sleeve and bow. The loose fabric of the sleeve is also a detracted point. The fabric feels nice and cool, not too thick but good for layering. It's a versatile blouse that fits nicely in the bust and waist, and the back corset is connected by actual fabric rather than flimsy lace.

l277 in sax!
My blouse! Sorry for more icky yellow lighting
It's a nice blouse, but unfortunately much more blue than sax. The stock photo gives it the appearance of being a Baby Sax blue, but in reality it's a darker "emblu". The blouse is still nice, but it doesn't match the colors of some of the other true sax items that I bought, such as a few skirts and jumperskirts.
bodice details
The blouse fits nicely, as the full shirring suggests. Unlike some of bodyline's other blouses, the full shirring on this one is actually quite flattering! I think this is because of the placement of the shirring and the way that the blouse flared out after the shirring. The blouse has many different laces. The one used on the collar is a little shiny but not too itchy. The rose lace right under it is typical of bodyine. It's hard to see, but there is another lace lining the buttons on top of the ruffle. That lace is not shiny at all and actually quite soft.
The lace going down the blouse has a flower pattern and is something I can see being used by gyaru brands. It's also soft and very cute, good quality! The lace on the sleeves (pictured below) is alright, but a bit more itchy than the collar area, which is annoying.

The sleeves each have a small ribbon tied on them which is a small detail that really makes the blouse. Despite the itchy feeling, the lace on the sleeves is very appealing.

I took off points for the change of color compared to the true sax of the stock photos and the quality of the lace. The blouse fits nicely, but the color makes it more difficult to coordinate and the most uncomfortable laces happen to be the ones that directly touch the skin. The fabric itself feels alright, but it's not as breathable as the previous pink blouse. For a square neck blouse like this one, I'd recommend wearing it just for skirts or under higher neck JSK.
The back is so plain!
And drumroll please...
Our two Jumperskirts! L089 and L031! In sax and brown.
l031 in brown
L031 comes in a rosy milk chocolate brown color, which is quite different from the color on the stock picture, where the purple and brown are barely distinguishable. The waist ties have no decorations but are just plain fabric with a surged end.
The fit is nice, as there is a very long side zipper. It goes past the waist ties and would reach where one's hips are (at least on me!). The back has both shirring and corset lacing, making the bust fit good for a variety of sizes. The first time I tried it on I struggled because I completely forgot the zipper ;P
It reaches right above my knees (I'm about 5'4) so if you're a tall lolita I wouldn't recommend this dress. It's not indecent and obviously lolita, but I know it's an issues for some people. The straps are also a bit tight, but I think that might have just been an issue with the corseting. For larger lolitas, this isn't the best dress.

bottom details
Check out the laces! This dress is full of great lace. The bib bodice is a bit unusual at first, but the detail is amazing!
The laces on this dress are this great cotton lace, seen on the bib and on the straps. Then there is the typical bodyline rose lace which overlaps the cotton lace. There's a shin soft lace with ribbon on the very top of the bodice, partially covered by the top bow (which is non-detachable). The bottom hem has another cotton lace and the wide lace used above the ruffles is also soft and great quality. Finally, there is a polyster flower lace that appears slightly shiny in the front, but with all the great laces on the dress it's no cause for concern.

The dress is great! It's not lined, but when is bodyline ever lined? For just $20, I got a cute JSK with great lace that can be coordinated in a variety of ways. However I did have to take a point off for the weird fit with the cut of the straps and the fact that the JSK is rather short. It doesn't stretch as much as is advertised on the bodyline website and so is inaccurate. However, it's definitely a great piece and if it were available in other colors I would certainly purchase another!

Still in the package
Wow! Truly a beauty!
Then l089 in sax! This dress makes anyone feel like a princess *-*
Here it is all nice and neat in the original bodyline package~
Already you can see the details of the bodice and ruffle for the dress. How exciting!
Below is the opened dress. Cute!
The sax blue color is really nice. It's not a bright blue but not an emblu either. It matches well with other blue colors, and seems more like a true sax than the blouse reviewed earlier in this post.
Have some pictures~
Bodice Shot!

So frilly!

Dress itself fits really nicely! The bodice zips up with a hidden side zip in a matching color. As we can see, the ruffles are really well done and the organza/tulle overlay and bottom layer match really well with this dress!

Side Zip
The Overlay's color *-*

The lace on the dress is really nice. There is, once again, the bodyline famous rose lace, but the bottom hem is covered with this long rounded soft lace on top of the tulle layer. The design (pictured better below) is very soft and sweet, and I think a good accent to the numerous layers of frills and ruffles that were put onto the dress' skirt.
I said the lace was pretty!

This dress is truly wonderful! It doesn't seem like bodyline quality at all, at least not the stereotypical version of bodyline. The overlay is gorgeous and the color is really nice too! I love all the frills and the lack of waist ties really made me happy. The waist bow isn't detachable, but in this case I think that was actually a smart choice. The lace used is great, and the frills on the bodice are all nicely spaced and fitted. This dress can be used for sweet or classic but really, I think hime would really make this dress shine!

And that's the end of the bodyline review! Thanks for reading. As before, any comments and questions can be addressed to my tumblr or this blog.
